Sofonda Cox
Ms. Cox is one of Canada’s top drag queens. She has held countless bar titles as well as Miss Canada Continental, Miss Czarina, Miss El Convento Rico, Miss Gay Universe, and the accolades continue with every performance.
Sofonda is a dancer, choreographer and aerial ring performer who has toured North America with MuchMusic, danced with Deborah Cox at ACT’s world famous AIDS fundraiser Fashion Cares, and starred in the popular and long running Showcase series Queer as Folk.
Sofonda is also a charming hostess and cabaret performer. She is the resident Diva at Woody’s, Toronto’s most popular gay men’s bar, and performs regularly at Fly Nightclub, Toronto’s largest gay nightclub. She has performed all over Canada, the United States, Mexico and even Malaysia. No matter the venue, Sofonda knows how to work an audience and leave the crowd wanting more.
