Alex Canning, Mr. Leatherman Toronto 2012
I'm proud to support this year's Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life Toronto, which raises funds for the vital work of the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT) and raises awareness about HIV/AIDS. The Leather, BDSM, FETISH, KINK Community is disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDS. In Toronto, 1 in 3 new HIV diagnoses are among youth under 30, 1 in 5 new HIV diagnoses are among women, and 1 in 5 gay men are living with HIV. We need to be there for each other, speak up, protect ourselves and one another. That's what ACT helps us do. Register or support a Walker at aidswalktoronto.ca or join my team. Remember to join me on Sunday, September 25th at the annual Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life Toronto.
Randy Filby, 2011 Walker who took his participation to new heights at EdgeWalkTM
The AIDS Committee of Toronto offers a wide variety of programs to support people with HIV/AIDS. Information, support groups, community outreach, education, and harm reduction just to name a few. The Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life Toronto is a major resource for ACT to help continue the vital work that is needed to support people affected and to curb the spread of the disease. My recent initiative, "Conquer Fear Conquer HIV", was a walk on the EdgeWalkTM on the CN Tower Rooftop. The positive energy I received from this experience has rejuvenated me physically and emotionally. Please join the Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life Toronto. It is not just the amount of money you raise for the Walk but the show of support for ACT in its passion to help and support our conquering HIV/AIDS. Join my team "Conquer Fear Conquer HIV" or walk as a proud individual.

Todd Klinck, community leader
The statistic that 1 in 5 gay men are living with HIV in Toronto is shocking to many, because the disease still carries such stigma that few people are open about their status. The AIDS Committee of Toronto is an essential front line resource - not just in promoting health, but in the distribution of educational materials, and in the battle against stigma. Please help me raise funds for this worthy cause!

Mandy Goodhandy, performer/community leader
