Founded in 1989, the AIDS Walk for Life is one of the largest AIDS fundraising events in Canada, raising over $8.5 million to date through the participation of more than 120,000 walkers, hundreds of corporate and community teams and many caring corporate supporters. The Walk brings together people from all ages and walks of life for a day filled with fun, festivities and hope.
This year, all funds raised from the 2009 Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life will support the many Social Support Services offered by the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT) to the thousands of people living with HIV/AIDS in our community.
