Welcome to the "Teams" page
Looking for a fun group activity? Looking for a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon? Look no further! Here is your opportunity to unite with family, friends or co-workers and join us in walking for life!
WHAT IS A TEAM?
A team is a group of three or more caring people with the common goal of raising money and awareness for ACT and HIV/AIDS - while having fun! Historically, teams have come from all sectors of our community: corporations, small businesses, community organizations, schools, faith groups, and even groups of friends. Teams form when people band together with a group of family, co-workers, and others to strive for a common goal. In 2007, teams accounted for almost 40% of the total funds raised!
WHO IS THE TEAM CAPTAIN?
The Team Captain participates, motivates and celebrates! Team Captains are critical to the spirit and success of this event. The great news is you don't need any previous experience to do this job - you just need enthusiasm.
The Team Captain assembles their team of walkers, discusses fundraising strategies and goals, looks for ways to reward the team as goals are met, and leads the way toward a successful Walk!
Our website will soon have everything you need to spearhead your team. A simple online registration process, a Team Captain kit with fundraising information and ideas, local event details, and answers to just about any question you'll have about this event.
WHERE TO BEGIN...
It's time to recruit enthusiastic walkers for this important and worthy cause. Your team can be as big as you want - from just you and your friends, to as many people as you can register.
